Change in Service Tax

30th May 2016

Service tax rate goes up from 14.5% to 15%(14% ST+ 0.5% Swachh Bharat Cess + 0.5% Krishi Kalyan Cess) w.e.f 1st June 2016 vide Circular No. 194/04/2016-ST.

The government has decided to impose, a Krishi Kalyan Cess at the rate of 0.5 per cent on all services, which are presently liable to service tax.
